Streep and Hanks directed by Spielberg: not to be missed at all costs. But I waited for eight years, with no explanation whatsoever. Anyway, it's a great movie wothout a doubt. And it's really not to be missed.

"Exercise of style" is often a pretty abused expression to indicate a movie (or else) that is a sort of showoff of the director: in this case, unfortunately, it's totally appropriate. It's not a failure (Silvio Orlando's performance is monumental and the visual aspect is awesome), but Sorrentino's approach, in my opinion, has undertaken an insubstantial direction. Mark: 6.5 / 10
