Not following the storyline created by Bram Stoker, this forgettable installment of Dracula depicts a sort of origin story of the vampire, but the result is pretty boring and somewhat lacking energy and involvement.
Long awaited sequel of the awesome first chapter and most successful animated feature of all times, this enjoyable product is basically an extension of the original instalment. Without strokes of genius. Mark: 7.5 / 10
"Exercise of style" is often a pretty abused expression to indicate a movie (or else) that is a sort of showoff of the director: in this case, unfortunately, it's totally appropriate. It's not a failure (Silvio Orlando's performance is monumental and the visual aspect is awesome), but Sorrentino's approach, in my opinion, has undertaken an insubstantial direction. Mark: 6.5 / 10
A touching, powerful portrait of motherhood, love and historic memories intertwining in nowadays Spain. Penélope Cruz is awesome, as the rest of the cast, and the cinematography is absolutely top-notch. Mark: 8.5 / 10
