A well crafted legal drama, with an interesting subject and a sort of alienating, mysterious location. The main attraction is undoubtedly the extraordinary performance by Sandra Hueller. Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023.

"Exercise of style" is often a pretty abused expression to indicate a movie (or else) that is a sort of showoff of the director: in this case, unfortunately, it's totally appropriate. It's not a failure (Silvio Orlando's performance is monumental and the visual aspect is awesome), but Sorrentino's approach, in my opinion, has undertaken an insubstantial direction. Mark: 6.5 / 10
