First chapter of the new franchise starring Tom Holland as the new Peter Parker: undoubtedly the best casting for what regards the main character. Plus a new, refreshing plot and the right amount of humour. Well done, Jon Watts.

"Exercise of style" is often a pretty abused expression to indicate a movie (or else) that is a sort of showoff of the director: in this case, unfortunately, it's totally appropriate. It's not a failure (Silvio Orlando's performance is monumental and the visual aspect is awesome), but Sorrentino's approach, in my opinion, has undertaken an insubstantial direction. Mark: 6.5 / 10
