Directed and played by the Canadian enfant prodige Xavier Dolan, this is a pretty intriguing and somewhat disturbing adaptation of the theatrical pièce by Michel Marc Bouchard. Interesting, but not unmissable.
It took me several days to write about this movie, simply because I'm still deeply touched by its story and subject. I strongly believe, in fact, that it's impossible to remain indifferent or neutral in face of such a profound demonstration of grief and love. By the way, the cast is absolutely awesome. A pretty conventional rom-com film, with a fairytale ending and a couple of great actors. Nothing more, in my opinion. An enjoyable experience, though. Mark: 6.5 / 10
I've never been a fan of Nolan's approach to movies (except for his first films), but this product reconciled my feelings toward him: a magnificent cast, an unquestionable technical aspect and, above all, a great storytelling. Mark: 8 / 10
