Tomb Raider (2018)

Pretty boring and conventional reboot. Decent cast and crew. Completely missable. Mark: 5.5 / 10

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Third chapter of one of the most praised animated franchises of all time, this movie is, again, a success. Despite not being so original here and there, it succeeds in thrilling and moving and entertaining from the beginning to the awesome ending. Mark: 8 / 10

BlacKkKlansman

The most interesting and involving part of this picture is the last, when director Spike Lee opposes the two gatherings in an awesome crescendo. The first half, however, is pretty slow and quite tiresome. Overall, an enjoyable movie with a witty script and a good cast. Mark: 7 / 10

Tom à la ferme

Directed and played by the Canadian enfant prodige Xavier Dolan, this is a pretty intriguing and somewhat disturbing adaptation of the theatrical pièce by Michel Marc Bouchard. Interesting, but not unmissable. Mark: 6.5 / 10

Made in Italy

This 2018 movie written and directed by Luciano Ligabue is no more and no less than a bunch of annoying commonplaces, accompanied by the usual unbearable performance by Stefano Accorsi. The only reason why I watched this awful product was Kasia Smutniak, whose talent drowns in this intolerable picture. Mark: 2 / 10

Mary Queen of Scots

Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie: this is the reason why this movie must be seen. Overall it could be considered a pretty enjoyable product, though lacking introspection and depth, but these two astonishing actresses deliver first class performances that make the story of Mary Stuart worth a viewing.
