Movies, interrupted.

I started watching My Week with Marilyn, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and, above all, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close: for different reasons, I chose not to complete their viewing. I'll try again in the future, maybe with another approach.

The Hunger Games

Adored by critics and crowds, I have to admit it doesn't disappoint: there's a strong gap between the (great) first half and the (weak) second one, though. But in the end it's an enjoyable product. Mark: 7 / 10

Brave

Dull, uninteresting, sappy and lethally predictable: frankly I cannot understand how this "thing" could have won the Academy Award... Mark: 5 / 10

Skyfall

Apart from Adele's magnificent song and a couple of nice scenes, there's nothing more to bring to life in this rather tedious film. Considering the overall flattering reviews, a great disappointment. Mark: 5,5 / 10

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

How to completely spoil a movie after a very promising and catchy first half: what a pity. I think I'll remember about this movie just for Kristin Scott Thomas' explosive character. Mark: 5 / 10

Margin Call

A truly remarkable movie, with a magnificent cast and an incredibly well-written story. That is, unfortunately, the dawn of the financial mud we're eating now. Mark: 8,5 / 10

Hair, hair and more hair

Dear real (and less real), manly (and less manly), authentic (and less authentic) MEN, would you please stop shaving your bodies??? I barely accept this JUST from swimmers. And I said barely.
