The Girl on the Train

Having read the novel, I knew, more or less, what to expect. This big screen adaptation lacks the same elements the book does, but adds confusion and predictability. Blunt's talent here is so pretty much wasted. Mark: 6 / 10

Arrival

Witty, intriguing, intelligent and emotional, this movie stands out of the usual sci-fi products with elegance and originality. Amy Adams, in the end, delivers a stunning performance. Mark: 8 / 10

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Being a huge Tim Burton's fan, I was more than curious to see this intriguing adaptation: well, if I may say that the first half does have its own "fascination", I must admit that the latter part lacks in originality and interest, and all seems to be built just to fancy the youngest crowds.
